In Vijaywada exists one of the tallest statues of Lord Hanuman. Located at Paritala Anjaneya Temple, this towering figure of Lord Anjaneya is the tallest in the world. It is situated in the village of Paritala on NH-9, about 30 km from Vijayawada, in Andhra Pradesh. Installed in the year 2003, this impressive statue is 135 feet (41 metres) long. In fact, its length surpasses that of Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro city which is 38 metres tall. This temple is located about 30 KM from Vijaywada on the Hyderabad high way. The temple has a shrine of Ram—Sita-Lakshman, the Devi and Lord Anjaneya.
