Located towards the centre of town is the Merrion Square Park, a lush green park with a variety of shrubs, bushes, trees, lawns and other elements. In a corner, perched atop a scraggly boulder is a statue of Oscar Wilde, lounging rather indolently with a sardonic expression on his face. Wilde lived just across in the apartments in Merrion Square and it seems like a fitting tribute to find him inside the park, captured for posterity.
