As per reports, this Padappai temple instead of serving payasam as prasadam is distributing brownies, burgers and even salads (for the health-conscious devotees). Also, the food that comes here is certified by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The packets have manufacturing and expiry dates printed on them. Quite interestingly, the temple has also installed vending machines for the convenience of devotees, who wish to offer prasada to god.
But this is not enough. The temple has gone a step further by offering ‘birthday cake prasadam’. If you visit the temple on the day of your birthday, you can buy cake as prasad. Sounds fun, right?
According to some senior temple officials, the new prasadam menu is an absolute hit amongst the worshippers as it adds a special touch coming from temple. Well, we certainly don’t mind such delicious changes!
