Ramzan is finally here, and this would mean that the city of Hyderabad would be dishing out some of the most glorious foods throughout the month. But this time, it is different. The famous Hyderabadi Haleem will have to be skipped during Ramzan festivities. According to reports, the Haleem Makers’ Association, in association with the Twin Cities Hotel Owners Association, has decided to not prepare the famous dish this time. This means that more than 6000 restaurants and eateries will not be serving or delivering haleem to residents in the city.
Pista House, which is said to be the largest producer of haleem in the world, also exports its dish to the US, Europe, and West Asia, but this time around it will not. So not only India is at a loss, but also international locations, as this year’s Ramzan gets celebrated without the presence of haleem.
