New York hits -23; Chicago turns as cold as the North Pole

While we have been seeing a really harsh winter this year, the USA is privy to some of the craziest weather turns too. Just as we believed that a frozen Niagara Falls is familiar (it happened last year too), Chicago saw some freaky weather and touched -45 degree Celsius; not just that while New York’s Ithaca touched -23 degree Celsius last night. Even as it reads unbelievable and much like a sci-fi movie, it is true and led to nasty snarls and some really unbelievable scenes in the city streets. The current weather conditions have resulted from the Polar Vortex in the region for now.
