Details about the National War MemorialThis war memorial showcases busts of Indian soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for the country. The precinct also has four chakras that signify the values of armed forces. These circles are namely the Amar Chakra of Circle of Immortality, the Veerta Chakra of Circle of Bravery, the Tyag Chakra or Circle of Sacrifice and the Rakshak Chakra or Circle of Protection.
Next to the memorial, there is Param Yodha Sthal. It is that site that pays homage and showcases the busts of soldiers, who were awarded the Param Vir Chakra. The busts also carry plaques that narrate the story of their valour.
The memorial will also serve as the place for armed forces to conduct their future ceremonies. The general public will also be able to pay their homage to the fallen heroes through interactive panels, which will soon be set up here.
