The museums in China are bringing the exhibits online for the Chinese museum lovers. Because of the coronavirus outbreak, all the tourist attractions, including museums were temporarily shut. In response to this, China's National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA) has requested people to stay active on their social media as the museum is all set to offer their services on a digital platform.
Now a number of many museums in China have started entertaining people virtually. This also includes Beijing's renowned Palace Museum, located in the Forbidden City. For this work, a special team has been prepared who will do the coordination work with China's museums.
These virtual libraries will be accessible via the National Cultural Heritage Administration's website. But this facility will be only available to those living in mainland China. More than a 100 online exhibitions and galleries are linked from the NCHA website.
A statement released by the NCHA read, "It will promote the combination of new technology and inheritance of our country's cultural heritage and gather resources of the museums through 'cloud' displays."
