Mumbai is hosting a 10-day long Bengali food festival from June 7 to 17. Foodies are invited to embark on a delightful gastronomical journey at Hotel Kohinoor Continental. The theme of this 10-day long festival is ‘Gram Bangla’, which translates into ‘rural West Bengal’.
In this fest, there will be starters, such as lip-smacking bhaja beguni, chholar dal, keema ghugni, dimer devil, veg chop, and much more. Whereas in the main course, you will get shukto, alloo posto, rohu fish masala, macher malai curry, pabda macher jhal, illish mach, rui macher kalia, chingri mallai curry, posto murgi, misthi pulao, dhokar dalna, tomato chutney, and papad.
The ambience and feel of this fest will give you a glimpse of Bengali traditions and cuisine too. Also, the criteria of cuisine selection, which is based on rural Bengal, will let you enjoy authentic Bengali food. With regard to décor and ambience, efforts have been made to create the ‘rural Bengal’ effect by playing old Bengali classics at the background; those serving you food in this fest will be wearing traditional Bengali attire.
