There are several lost cities in the world that hold a great historic significance long after even now. These are remnants of the ancient world that have been reclaimed by nature. So, have a look at some of the most famous long-lost and forgotten cities in the world.
Ciudad Perdida, Colombia
Ciudad Perdida, or the Lost City, is an ancient city built by the Tayrona people in the Sierra Nevada mountains. It was rediscovered in the 1970s.

The Lost City of Z, or El Dorado, is a fabled city that is believed to be set in the jungles of the Amazon. Many explorers have tried to look for it but in vain!
Atlantis, Greece
Atlantis is a legendary lost city mentioned in the dialogues of the Greek philosopher Plato. Its existence and location are the subject of debate and have never been definitively confirmed.
