Zócalo: this is the birthplace of Mexican Constitution. Often dubbed as the heart of the city, Zócalo or the Plaza de la Constitución (Constitution Square) is the place where Mexico’s first constitution was made in 1813. The architecture is stunning and measures 240 m in each direction.
The Great Pyramid of Tenochtitlán: An important historic site in Mexico City is the Great Pyramid of Tenochtitlán. Templo Mayor is another major site discovered in 1978. The place is a hub of historians and archaeologists!
The Palace of Fine Arts: This is one of the city’s most significant cultural landmarks and an architectural marvel! This massive and towering marble building was designed by a famous Italian architect Adamo Boari.
The National Palace: Set in the main square, the National Palace (Palacio Nacional) is made of reddish tezontle stone. The gorgeous building features a 200 m facade, and is the official residence of Mexico’s president.
