The adventure capital of Karnataka

Perched on the hills overlooking the Linganamakki reservoir, Honnemardu is a small village located in Shivamogga town of Karnataka. Honnermadu, got its name from the tree named honnee tree in the village, which is now submerged under water of the dam. Nearby Attractions: Apart from the famous Jog Falls, there is another remote village called as Gademane, very close to Honnermadu. This remote village is famous for Chitara art, where every home wall is beautified with pictures, especially during occasions.
