If you have had your date with bottled “mountain water” and came back disappointed, Qikiqtarjuaq in Canada might just be the perfect place to get over your disappointment. Hailed as the land of the world’s purest water, Qikiqtarjuaq gets glacial water from the Arctic Circle, where it is located. If that is enough to blow your mind away, brace yourself, for there is more!
Qikiqtarjuaq gets icebergs floating in from Davis Strait that get stuck in its vicinity. To top it all, this dreamy, aqua-blue icebergs come floating to Qikiqtarjuaq all around the year and are as much as a source of fascination as they are of the world’s purest water. The water pools formed around these icebergs and underground is devoid of almost any bacteria and is, thus, tagged the purest of all. These are used by a good number of natives in the vicinity.
Also famous as the Iceberg Capital of the World, Qikiqtarjuaq is perhaps where you should head to if your search for the purest water has led you nowhere but to another water bottle, which, in all probability, might not be as pure as claimed! Do not forget, it is served chilled as well, straight from the icebergs you see.
