There are three hospitals in the city treating COVID-19 patients, King Georges’ Medical University, SGPGIMS and Ram Manohar Lohia. Considering the increasing numbers of infected cases in the state, Lucknow district administration decided to convert the five-star hotels into quarantine facilities for doctors and nurses treating virus infects.
On the other hand, the Tata Group have also extended their support to healthcare staff by offering rooms across their luxury hotel chain brand, Taj. The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), which is the hospitality firm of Tata Sons, have decided to provide rooms to medical professionals treating COVID-19 patients in Mumbai in their luxury hotels.
According to the reports, the rooms will be made available in seven hotels of the chain, namely Taj Mahal Palace, Taj Lands End (Bandra West, Mumbai), Taj Santacruz (Santacruz East, Mumbai), The President (Cuffe Parade, Mumbai), Ginger MIDC Andheri (Mumbai), Ginger Madgaon (Goa) and Ginger Noida City Center (Noida, UP).
