Kullu

Nestled in the picturesque Kullu Valley (also referred to as Valley of Gods), the capital of Kullu District is located on the banks of Beas River. The town marks beginning of the ascent to Manali, which is situated 40 kilometres upwards. Kullu is also famous for its temples, namely Bijli Mahadev Temple, Bhekhali Temple and Raghunath Temple, as well as for its loud celebrations during Dussehra. It also gets a fair amount of snowfall during its coldest months (December and January). Perched at a height of 1220 metres above the sea level, the town is 10 kilometres away from Bhuntar Airport.
