Climb 272 steps and you’re standing facing an impressive golden structure of Lord Murugan. Batu Caves is a massive limestone outcrop that houses a Hindu shrine lined with different deities. On the way up, watch out for cheeky monkeys!

Little India
A kaleidoscope of culture, Brickfield or Little India in Kuala Lumpur is a celebration of Malaysia’s Indian heritage. Popular for the banana leaf rice that is available here, this is also one of KL's most colourful enclaves.

Merdeka Square
The Merdeka square, surrounded by impressive historical buildings, is the heart of downtown Kuala Lumpur. With arches, dome-shaped pavilions and a stunning Moorish façade, the square is the perfect destination for a walk around town.

Bukit Bintang
A melee of all things wild and fascinating, the Bukit Bintang is the shopping and entertainment hub of Kuala Lumpur. This is where upscale marble halls and trendy bars compete with hawker type eateries.

The National Palace of Malaysia
Standing out amongst a breathtaking landscape and lush greenery, is the Istana Negara or the National Palace of Malaysia. You can only admire from afar where royal soldiers guard the main gate on horse and on foot.
