Love is all around and so are different historical structures and books that narrate the struggles and brave moves that even resulted in death in some cases. Running in the lines of Romeo-Juliet and Heer-Ranjha, Shehzadi ka Rauza is the resting place of Mehrunissa and her fond lover. Mehrunissa was the daughter of the governor and she was deeply in love with the army chief. Her father disapproved of the relationship and made a plan to murder the army chief. Read less

Running in the lines of Romeo-Juliet and Heer-Ranjha, Shehzadi ka Rauza is the resting place of Mehrunissa and her fond lover. Mehrunissa was the daughter of the governor and she was deeply in love with the army chief. Her father disapproved of the relationship and made a plan to murder the army chief. He sent the army chief on a war, and his secret agents too who would eventually kill the chief. Though the army chief returned victorious post war but was gravely wounded. Hearing her lover’s yelp, Mehrunissa rushed to the spot where she had to witness the last few breaths of her soul mate. She decided to kill herself right beside her partner’s body, hence the structure’s name―Shehzadi ka Rauza.
