Inspired by the royal history of Agra, this opulent 99,000 square feet spa—the largest in India—transports its guests straight back to the Mughal era. There are Persian-style hamams, and channels of running water, fountains, and outdoor rain water showers all around. The interiors are tastefully decorated with latticework, inlay and mirror work. Besides a range of Ayurvedic treatments, the spa’s star packages include A Taj Mahal Romance for couples, which includes a gemstone massage, pearl facial, foot massage and bathing ritual; the Exotic Pomegranate treatment with natural fruits and traditional oils; and Passage to India, a combination of Ayurvedic therapies such as abhyanga and shirodhara with an exfoliating scrub.
