Kalimpong introduces a boating complex for tourists

Kalimpong, located about 2 hours away from the hill station of Darjeeling. Known for its verdant forests, and wonderful scenic views, the tiny hill station is now taking things to the next level in terms of tourist attractions. According to reports, Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) has now come up with a boating complex in Kalimpong.

Tourism is the main source of income in the hill stations of Kalimpong, and Darjeeling, and this new project is going to help improve its purpose as a haven for tourists.
The newly built boating complex is located between Lava and Loleygaon, which are two of the most popular tourist destinations of the district of Kalimpong. The complex was recently inaugurated by Anit Thapa, Chairman, GTA, and was built on 2.5 acres of land.

It is called the Nok-dara tourist complex, and it has a 9990 sq m lake, along with beautiful lawns and gardens. Also, the complex is within a forest that is full of rich flora and fauna. It is about 40 km away from the main Kalimpong town.

The new boating complex, along with Lava, Loleygaon, and Kafer (all nearby areas), will form an amazing combination for tourists visiting Kalimpong. The good news is that even if you are in Darjeeling, Kurseong, you can easily take a trip to this beautiful boating complex, and experience a great day outing.
Located at a height of 1247 m, Kalimpong is all about wonderful colonial architecture, and is also known for renowned nurseries. It is definitely one of the best places for anyone who is interested in flora.
