Another prime highlight of this mosque is the copy of the holy Quran published on deer skin which is kept inside. Also known as the Masjid-i Jahanuma, the mosque attracts travellers from all over the world.
Architecture
Jama Masjid is a 261 ft tall structure surrounded by a 30 m wide lawn. The masjid is constructed on a hillock at an altitude of 10 m. The building truly reflects the best of Mughal era and is among the greatest mosques constructed in its time. The entire structure is made of red sandstone and white marbles. It’s a perfect example of Indo-Islamic and Mughal styles of architecture.

Entry Fee
Though entry to the mosque is free, visitors will have to pay INR 100 to visit the minaret and those planning to take their camera along, will have to pay INR 300 (camera charges).
TimingsThe mosque remains every day of the week but visiting time is limited. The mosque is open from 7 AM to 12 PM and from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM, everyday.
