If you are flying out of Delhi, your air travel is all set to become more convenient. As per the latest reports, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has now launched a doorstep baggage transfer facility for travellers flying to and from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). Read less
Recently, the said facility was launched officially at Terminal 3 of the IGI Airport in the capital after a trial run turned out to be successful. To offer this facility to the esteemed customers, Delhi Airport authorities have teamed up with a Bengaluru-based logistics company, named CarterX.
As to the method of availing this facility, passengers will have the option to book their baggage via the company’s website or app. One can also opt for this service via their counters at the Delhi airport. After you opt for this facility, your baggage will be picked up from your specified location in the Delhi/NCR region. In the coming days, you might even be able to engage in baggage booking via the airport website, as the airport has such plans to launch soon.
Apart from the pick and drop facility, the service provider will also provide tracking facilities on tablets and phones, which will enable passengers to track their baggage. To book this facility, the passenger will have to provide the date for pick-up or deliver service, and the details of the flight they will be boarding or deboarding at the IGI Airport. Also, a specific delivery location will be required so that the logistic agents are able to deliver at your doorstep. Also, those interested in the said service, will have to pay the service charge following which their baggage would be transported to the departure and arrival area.
