Indian destinations that a backpacking mom-kid duo would love

Nothing can stop a true explorer from discovering the world, not even motherhood. Beating all odds, women today are travelling the globe with their kids along, and social media is full of such encouraging examples. However, it is necessary to know all about your destination before making any plans with your kids. Of course, with your tiny ones, you cannot plan of climbing the Everest or go hiking in the snow or skiing in the rough sea waters. You definitely need to think of destinations that are safe, comfortable and, of course, kid-friendly. Varkala, Kerala
Varkala in Kerala is one pretty little, family-friendly coastal town, renowned for its palm-covered red cliffs and clean beaches. The destination is perfect and absolutely safe for moms backpacking with their kids. From staying at a houseboat in the nearby Alleppey, or spending a night in a cosy Kerala hostel here to making sandcastles on the Varkala Beach and drinking coconut water, it will surely be a beautiful and memorable experience for your kid.

Puducherry

Brimming with pretty, affordable and clean hostels, Pondicherry has a number of spots that your kid will utterly enjoy! If you can ride, do rent a scooter and explore all the sights and sounds of the city with your child along. The entire Auroville township is amazing and those colourful French houses are absolutely awesome and worth watching. Landour, Uttarakhand

Another safe and ideal place to travel to with your kid is Landour in Uttarakhand.
