The Met department further stated that light to moderate rainfall is expected in many regions of the state on the eve of Independence Day. Most roads in the interiors of Himachal Pradesh remained closed on Monday, leaving hundreds of commuters and travellers stranded.
Due to the ongoing rain, all educational institutions and schools have been closed in regions like Shimla, Kullu, Solan, Kangra, Mandi and Harimpur.
Looking at this situation, it will be best to halt your travel plans to Shimla and neighbouring regions as of now.
