Iceland is opening a geothermal lagoon with an oceanfront view in the spring of 2021. The phenomenally beautiful man-made lagoon, the Sky Lagoon, is located in Kársnes Harbour, Kópavogur. The upcoming geothermal lagoon is visually appealing, and does seem like something that locals and tourists would love to experience.
The geothermal lagoon comes with a 70m infinity edge, and even has a swim-up bar. Inspired by Icelandic culture, the Iceland geothermal lagoon is a fantastic piece of paradise. The Sky Lagoon is a place where Iceland’s spa ritual also comes alive. The experience is far more layered than just a dip in the water as this will provide incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean and, at the same time, allow visitors to view the Northern Lights.
The Sky Lagoon is said to be a place where guests can find mind-body-spirit connect while providing sweeping ocean views. With cold pool and sauna experiences, the lagoon is also going to have dining and retail for guests. It will be operated by a company called Pursuit, in collaboration with Nature Resort.

According to a statement from General Manager of Sky Lagoon, Dagny Petursdottir, the geothermal lagoon is one of Iceland’s most incredible experiences, with a stunning location.
As of now, reports have it that Iceland has dealt extremely well with the Coronavirus, and bars and restaurants are running in full swing. It could be a great new escape for travellers coming in from other countries that are still coping with the virus.
