The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has received a request from the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in regards to better amenities at the Visakhapatnam International Airport. Recently, the ranking of the airport had taken a plunge at a survey that was conducted by Airports Council International. In fact the Visakhapatnam International Airport was right at the bottom of the list.

Row rightly pointed out that because air travel demand is set to double in the next two decades, it is only fair for Visakhapatnam International Airport to upgrade its amenities. This would help passengers and nations to develop better partnership and trade relations.
He further said, “We have been crying hoarse on the condition of government run airports in our country and especially Visakhapatnam International Airport. The media has reported that Vizag stands last, in the survey conducted by the Airports Council International.”
The improvement in services and other amenities would greatly change the ranking of the airport, but more importantly it would help passengers travel with ease.
