How about trekking to this lovely heart-shaped lake in Kerala?

Well, it’s not just any random lake. You will be surprised to learn that it’s a heart-shaped lake that is set amid lush green hills. It’s also called 'Hridayasaras' or Heart Lake because of its shape.
Breathtakingly beautiful and surprising, right? However, to reach the place, you will have to trek for around 3.5 km (one side) to take in the mesmerising view of this region. Believe it or not, Chembra Lake is a picturesque delight to say the least.
For the records, this trek begins from the Forest Department base camp, where you can reach via road. The timings for this trek are from 7 AM to 5 PM. Also, do note that you must arrive before 2 PM to be able to get permission for the Chembra Lake trek.

When is the best time to visit this lake?

The best time to visit is August to May, when the weather usually remains moderate. So, when you plan your Kerala vacation in the near future, make sure that you add this place in your travel itinerary to witness this natural splendour.
