Hofgarten is Germany’s oldest and first public garden with a history dating back to 1700s. Strangely, a series of military events led to the creation of this serene green space in the city. The park since then has seen many transformations and expansions in its dimensions and landscape. Today, it is a jogger’s favourite, a walker’s hub and a kid’s play area. It still houses some of the old monuments and reflects English style in its landscape. There are tall trees lined up in most places giving ample shelter as you walk. The huge spread of grass is perfect for people to sit, relax, read a book or watch others having fun in their own style.
