The two-day Rangotsav festival in Mathura and Barsana has always been a grand affair. Famed for Holi celebrations, Mathura and Barsana get drenched in full of colours during the Holi festival time. Every nook and corner of the region witness the fervour of celebrations, and at various places, it will even last for a week.
Preparations for Rangotsav start quite early and is celebrated a week ahead of Holi. Cultural programmes and various other events take place during the festival and the entire town of Mathura and Barsana are decorated with flowers and colours.
