The biggest park in Greater Manchester, Heaton Park covers an area of about 600 acres, in the middle of which is Heaton Hall built in 1772. The hall is not currently open to public. You will also find an 18-hole golf course, along with driving range, mini putt, and tennis court. You also have a boating lake that families can take advantage of, along with an animal farm, woodlands, ornamental gardens, observatory, adventure playground, and volunteer-run tramway and museum. Do try the Fletcher Moss Botanical Garden that was founded in 1917, and is a large space for wildlife habitat. The Heaton Park is indeed a wholesome family fun.
