Walk off the inertia by exploring the nooks and crannies of Hauz Khas Village, which is dotted with galleries displaying art, boutiques, vintage stores and little nondescript shops selling everything from pocket watches to designer garb. Shop, browse, and once you're done, venture just beyond the old iron gate at the far end of the street to be transported to an unlikely pocket of green interspersed with Mughal ruins and a vast lake at the centre. This is a where you can put your camera to good use.
