Located adjacent to Chamaraja Circle and the Town Hall, Mysore’s Clock Tower is not as imposing as some other clock towers around the country. However, it makes up with its simple majesty and exquisite detailing. It is also called the Silver Jubilee Clock Tower since it was built to commemorate the silver jubilee of Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar’s reign in 1927. Rising 75 feet, the tower is a mix of various architectural styles that have been ingeniously blended to create this masterpiece. It is square in shape and is predominantly Indo-Saracenic in style, with eaves and other details following Rajasthani style. The clock is 5 feet in diameter and is located a little below the top. Above it is a domed canopy that rests on a consoled base. It is an aesthetic structure and stands amidst a circular platform. Moreover, the Clock Tower looks stunning at night when it's beautifully lit.
