According to reports, West Bengal Tourism is planning to develop a tourist circuit in north Bengal. This circuit will consist of three temples in the north Bengal region, and is looking to promote religious tourism in the state.
The government is of the opinion that because the three temples are on the fringes of the Safari Park, and Gajoldoba Tourism Hub, there would be a good number of footfall at these temples. The three temples that make a tourist circuit, include other destinations as well, which makes the project a win-win.
According to reports, sixty per cent of domestic tourism in India is backed by religious factors, and this temple circuit could be a promising move for the state government to increase tourism. Already, Gautam Deb, West Bengal Tourism Minister had recently inaugurated facilities at the Bhramari Devi Temple.
North Bengal is already quite popular for its beautiful tea gardens, and wondrous hill stations, but this new tourist circuit could further enhance tourism in the region. You could then visit the hills, enjoy the verdant tea gardens, and also visit temples, all in one trip!
