Delhi Tourism’s latest initiative will give you the much-needed respite from the summer heat. It is hosting Mehfil-e-Sharbat Festival at Dilli Haat Janakpuri to offer you some of the best Indian summer refreshments from today till June 9. Read less
Mehfil-E-Sharbat will bring together a host of traditional sharbats, shikanjis, pannas, alongside various other herbal refreshments, under one roof. The tourism department has rightly organised the fest during a time when temperatures in the city are soaring and people are looking for all possible ways to beat it.
Chief Manager (PR) of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) said that Indian summers without our beloved traditional refreshments of sharbats, nimbupani, sattu and the like are incomplete. He also mentioned that perhaps one of the most prominent memories that we all have is that of summer refreshments, which we used to get as kids. He added that Mehfil-E-Sharbat is an attempt to provide that sense of respite from Delhi’s heat.
