This teerth, having numerous shrines, is located on the banks of Hiran, at a distance of two kilometres from Somnath temple. After being wounded by a hunter’s arrow, Lord Krishna walked a distance of four kilometres towards Dehotsarg from Bhalka Teerth. He bathed in the triveni sangam and then left his body at Dehotsarg. The main temple here is Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. The Gita Mandir, a temple dedicated to Krishna, has been built recently with all the sermons of Bhagwad Gita inscribed on its eighteen pillars. A beautiful black idol of Lord Krishna playing his flute is also present in the middle of the temple. In front of these two temples, the footprints of Lord Krishna are carved in an open space to mark his divine journey to Neejdham. Balaram, the elder brother of Lord Krishna, also undertook his last journey from here in the form of a serpent. The 5000 year old cave called ‘Baldevji ni Gufa’ where Balaram succumbed is still present here. Treat your eyes to the setting sun against an enchanting view of the Hiran river with the temple and rows of coconut trees in the background.
