Dalahi Kund: The mysterious clapping pond of India!

What is the source of water?

Extensive research has been conducted on this kund, yet the origin of its water remains shrouded in mystery. Some researchers suggest that the water flows into the Garga river through a channel named Jamui, but the water level in this channel is quite low. Because of its limited depth, clapping creates sound waves that, in turn, generate vibrations causing the water to ascend. As a result, the water appears to rise mysteriously.
At present, concrete walls encircle this pool, but the locals still hold deep faith in this place, believing that bathing in its waters can alleviate life's hardships.
