Indian Railways has been making special efforts to ensure the safety of its passengers from the Coronavirus. Indian Railways has been making special efforts to ensure the safety of its passengers from the Coronavirus. Now, in order to convey the urgency of the ongoing situation in India due to the fast-spreading of the pandemic, the railways have trained the spotlights on its rich heritage of public service to enlighten the citizens of India about the benefits of staying indoors against COVID-19.
On Sunday, the Indian Railways suspended all its passenger services from March 22 till March 31 to control the growing number of Coronavirus infection cases in India. A large number of passenger trains, express and intercity trains have been cancelled. Only goods trains have been allowed to run for March.

On March 20, the Western Railways also put a stop on the operations of Mumbai Suburban train services till 31 March.
Indian Railways has been actively taking care of ticket cancellation, refunds and waiting periods for the stranded passengers. It has been declared that the passengers won’t be charged any cancellation fee due to Coronavirus pandemic.
At the same time, the railway sanitation staff has been actively cleaning and disinfecting the trains by every means possible to keep them free Coronavirus.
