Arguably the best view of the city, including the towering mountains and the endless sea, is from the tower at Convento de San Francisco de Asis. This covenant turned museum showcases revolutionary articles, armed vehicles, pieces of planes and more. However, these are not what attract tourists; it is the view that really makes this place popular. The building is in excellent condition, bright yellow and colonial looking, its gardens breathtaking, and the famous bell tower offering you a bird’s-eye view of the city. Make your way up here to catch the sunset views, and don’t forget to carry your camera. This underrated, often forgotten attraction is a must-visit for every tourist coming to Trinidad.
