Everyday in Medellin’s Tulipanes neighborhood, Eros climbs up and down the hilly terrains making door-to-door deliveries of vegetables, fruit, and packaged foods to the customers of a mini-mart here. The adorable pooch does his work quite seriously and just asks for his doggo treats in return.
Eros is doing a great job during this time when social distancing and staying at home, especially for older eople and kids, is a must. So this definitely comes as happy news amid all the Coronavirus related stuff.
The dog is playing a vital role in keeping his neighbourhood safe. Maria further said, "He helps us to maintain social distancing, and people love it when we send the dog."
Eros, over the time, with lots of practice, and not to mention his favourite treats (a lot of them), has been able to memorise some customer’s names and their home address, nearly five across town.
As he reaches the home, and delivers the packages, people thank him with a treat, which he loves! The delivery basket contains a receipt, and customers then can pay via the internet. And mind you, he never leaves without getting a treat!
The back story of Eros is also interesting as he was adopted by the family on request of Maria’s son. The family decided to open a mini-mart four years back, and they would bring Eros everywhere on their deliveries. That’s how he remembers the names and addresses of some of the customers.
