Located at a height of 2842 m above sea level, Triund is a famous camping ground on the trekking trail to Indrahar Pass. The trek starts from Dharamkot village, a few kilometres from Dharamsala. It’s an easy trek of around 5 km and then a steep climb of around a kilometre towards the end. During the trek, you encounter some stunning views of the valley as well as come across few tea shops where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing cup of hot tea. The effort is worth it as the moment you reach up there you will be greeted by splendid views of green meadows, Dhauladhar peaks and vast valley. Pitch your tent on the top as it is strongly recommended that you spend a night up there to experience peace and nature. Also, the sunrise and sunset are amazingly mesmerising and must not be missed.
