All along Warsaw, there are Chopin’s Benches placed in front of monuments and historical buildings associated with the amazing composer. Each of them contains information about the monument and a map of its location on the street. But more interestingly, each has a tiny button which can be pressed to play an excerpt from one of his compositions. It is surreal to stand on the street and listen to the beautiful music ringing out, especially in the calmness of an early morning. It is also fun to flit from bench to bench, listening to different pieces of music from the composer’s repertoire.
