We are living in a fast-paced world, coming up with time-saving solutions in all spheres. On similar lines, the Mumbai - Pune Intercity Express will also go higher by several notches to be one of the most efficient trains running between the two cities.
According to the news reports, the Central Railways has introduced the ‘push and pull’ technique, which means there will be two locomotives—in the front as well as rear on the Mumbai - Pune Intercity Express train. The new feature will allow the train to reach its destination by 40 minutes.
Henceforth, train no. 12127 Mumbai Pune Intercity Express will run from 6:45 AM from CSMT Mumbai and arrive at Pune, Shivaji Nagar Station at 9:20 AM. Earlier, the train would leave at 6:40 AM and reach Pune at 9:57 AM.
Other trains that connect Mumbai and Pune are the Deccan Express, Gorakhpur Junction Lokmanyatilak Terminus Express, Indrayani Express, Chennai Mail and Rajkot Junction Secunderabad Junction Express.
Even the road trip to and from Pune and Mumbai is sheer delight. The expressway connecting Mumbai and Pune brings joy to road trippers, and there are a lot of people who prefer roadway over rail to commute between the two places. Now, given the news that the rail trip has now become much shorter, there might soon be more takers for it in the coming times.
