Jaipur Airport to introduce more facilities for passengers’ convenience

Jaipur Airport authorities are planning to add new arrival and departure gates at Terminal 2 to ease things and decongest passengers’ arrival and departure. The availability of number of budget flights has increased the number of tourists to Jaipur on an annual basis significantly. To meet this demand, the authorities are planning to introduce some new amenities to make travel smooth and convenient.
The number of boarding gates for various flights has already gone up from five to seven. Also, there are now five conveyor belts for passenger luggage. As far as data is concerned, Jaipur airport reported about 5500000 passengers travelling from the airport, both domestic and global, in 2018-19.

According to Jaideep Singh Balhara, Director at Jaipur airport nearly 2800000 passengers have travelled from April 1 to October 30, 2019, hence they have decided to increase the number of arrival and departure gates for the convenience of the flyers.
He further added that with this increase in the number of travellers, it is required to uplift the facilities at the airport and also use the area in such a manner that passenger don’t get stuck at departures and arrivals. The number of conveyor belts has also been increased to meet the demands of passengers.


“Earlier we had five boarding gates which included international and domestic flights. Now we have increased them to seven”, Mr. Balhara said. The airport authorities have already started working towards enhancing the facilities.
