l Travel plan | I like to plan a little, read travel blogs and get a basic idea of what I want. I feel micro-planning takes away the beautiful, unique and spontaneous opportunities one could encounter while travelling.
l Food while travelling | I’m a huge foodie. I love trying local cuisine wherever I go. I also love street food. My latest trip to Italy was a paradise for the foodie in me. It has everything from lip-smacking street food to fine Michelin-star restaurants.
l Must-pack items | A scarf is a must-pack for me. Airplanes, restaurants, and museums are notoriously freezing and a scarf can come in handy when Ivisit churches or mosques. Also a medium-sized, anti-theft crossbody bag! It fits my wallet, phone, camera and other essential items leaving my hands free to take photos but at the same time doesn’t weigh me down. One must carry a universal travel adapter-cum-convertor with USB ports, a well-stocked first-aid kit, sunglasses and flip-flops.
l Travel gear | Over the years, I have created a sort of essential travel gear that I always carry with me, no matter what the destination is – a lightweight compact camera, noise cancelling headphones, a jacket because I’m always cold, socks, I have borderline OCD about my feet being clean, comfortable walking shoes, power bank, a wallet that also holds important travel documents and lastly, a nice travel backpack to fit them all.
l Travel goals | My travel goal is to see at least one new country every year. I also want to see more of our country. Outside India, some top places on my bucket list right now are Alaska,Croatia, Scandinavia and Vietnam.
