A beach that glows!
Neatly located between Colva Beach and Majorda Beach in Goa, Betalbatim Beach is a pristine place with golden sand spread all across the coastline. Offering beautiful sunrise and sunset views, the beach is best known as the glowing beach of Goa for the presence of bioluminescent algae in it waters that illuminates the shoreline at night.
The dolphins and birds
Another wonderful attraction of Betalbatim Beach are the dolphins that dwell in its waters. Ask the local fishermen to usher you for spotting the dolphins and you may behold these jovial fishes if you are lucky. It is also a place for bird watching.

Visit Colva Beach
It is located only 4 km from Betalbatim Beach and famed for its exotic tateries, white sands and palm trees. Colva beach offers speed boat rides, jet skiing, and parasailing–so there is no chance of getting bored here. And if you want to do nothing, take a long walk along the coastline.
Our Lady of Remedios Church
Situated only a short distance from Betalbatim Beach, Our Lady of Remedios Church offers a slice of history and religion. It has amazing architecture worth capturing in your camera.
Vasco Da Gama
South Goa’s popular city can be reached in 30 minutes from the beach.
Adventure sports at Betalbatim Beach
The beach is a hub of watersports such as waterskiing, windsurfing and parasailing. Instructors are available for all these activities at the beach site. Having prior knowledge of swimming, surfing and sailing is an additional bonus to perform these watersports, though not strictly mandatory.
When and how to visit?
The ideal time to visit Betalbatim Beach is between November and February during the peak tourist season. Panjim is located 32 km from Panjim via taxi. The beach can be reached from the Goa International airport (22 km) in 35 minutes or so.
