IRCTC has its official website, from where people generally book their train tickets without any hassles. Not only train tickets, but the website also offers hotel bookings and a number of interesting tour packages. But from now on, some users won’t be able to book their tickets from the same and the reason is that the IRCTC e-ticketing website is now being migrated to TLS 1.2 (Transport Layer Security) for security purposes. Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2
Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016
The step was taken to keep a check on security. People generally make payments through online transactions wherein they use net banking, debit card, credit card or mobile wallets. To make this safe for users, the IRCTC came up with the new decision. In India, the number of people using Windows XP has reduced and more people have Windows 7 or Windows 10.
Last year too, the IRCTC website was upgraded with new features, which include an Artificial Intelligence-based chat box called ‘Ask Disha’.
So it is about time you upgrade your computers with the latest Windows operating system!
