Baihe Valley, also known as the Bai River Valley, is one of the three most beautiful valleys around Beijing with breathtaking views and unique landscapes. The whole Baihe Valley is divided into two sections—the upper section and lower section. The upper section of the valley starts from Yanqing District to the Xiaoshuikou in Huairou District, and the lower section runs through the Yunmengshan Scenic Area and enters the area within Miyun District. Word has it that there are splendid waterfalls and deep pools located in the lower section, thereby making this region a great place for camping and picnic.
