The country received an overall score of 93.4 out of 100. This means that the travellers can be assured of Switzerland’s excellent score for transport risks (98 out of 100). In the evaluation, the firm took four criteria into consideration, the annual number of tourists killed or injured on roads as well as the prevalence of airlines on the European Commission’s blacklist.
Singapore secured the second spot in the list with 92.7 out of 100. This made Singapore the safest Asian country as the risk of natural disasters here stands at 93 out of 100.
In third place is Norway, which secured an overall score of 91.1 out of 100. The beautiful Scandinavian country could have earned the first spot easily had there not been the risks of violence (75 out of 100, as opposed to 98 for 100 transport risks, and 95 out of 100 for health care).
In the list, the three destinations at the bottom that are considered riskiest for travellers were South Sudan (with an overall score of 14.8), the Democratic Republic of Congo (with an overall score of 15.4) and the Central African Republic (with an overall score of 21).
