Tourism Australia has now launched a campaign that will drive Indian visitors for the ICC World Cup 2020. Australia is host to both men’s and women’s World Cup in the year 2020. The dates for the world cup is set for February 21 to March 8, 2020, for women and October 18 to November 15, 2020, for men.
The tourism board of Australia is looking to bring in as many visitors as possible for the women’s tournament, especially for the final match that will be held on March 8, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The tourism board has in fact tied up with Indian cricketer and team captain Mithali Raj.
There is also a video campaign in this regard, highlighting all the great attractions of the country, such as food, nature, culture, wildlife, coastal areas, etc. The cricket matches are going to be held at eight different venues across the country, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. The campaign includes voiceover of cricket commentator, Harsha Bhogle; Indian singer and actress, Shibani Dandekar; and former Australian cricketer Brett Lee.
