Auroville, an experimental town spread over some 20 sq km, was founded at the behest of the Mother. Also known as the City of Dawn, it aims at sustainable living through community living. People from all nationalities are welcome at Auroville for an experience of spiritual, universal and cash-free living. You can visit it for a very different experience or volunteer at one of the many NGOs, organic farms, handicraft production centres, libraries, community kitchen and more. It is a must-visit for anyone in search of a spiritual experience.
