The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) is organising its annual flagship event, The Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon, on July 21, along with Adventure and You in Pachmarhi. Referred to as one of the top-rated hill stations in India, Pachmarhi is also popularly known as ‘Queen of Satpura’ and is situated in Madhya Pradesh. Read less
MPTB is organising the monsoon marathon the second time here as it was quite a success in its first run as well. The idea behind organising such an event is to promote the artistic beauty of Pachmarhi in monsoon by having Fun Run that will also involve discipline of fitness and health, besides promoting active holiday concept among travellers and tourists.
The organisers of Adventure and You have made it a practice of arranging marathons wherein people of all ages can participate. The race has been divided into three different categories, i.e., 21 km, 10 km and 5 km, which have been further named as Dhoopgarh Hill Run, Endurance Run, and Family Fun Run respectively.
