Asia’s biggest lake festival is all set to begin in Uttarakhand

Time to make more travel plans as Asia’s biggest lake festival is back in Uttarakhand's Tehri. This engaging event will be held from 26 to 28 February, 2019, and will be attended by a number of tourists from all over.
It’s not the first that Uttarakhand government is orgainsing something like this. Every year, the Uttarakhand government plans Tehri Lake Festival which is considered as Asia’s biggest lake fest. Those interested in being a part of this awesome festival, must book their seats beforehand as it gets pretty full and crowded here.
Stunning fireworks, aerial sports and other adventure activities along with a number of water based sports will be the main attraction here. One can enjoy a number of interesting adventure sports such as boating, banana rides, river rafting, paragliding, kayaking, paragliding, water surfing, canoeing and so much more.
It’s one of a kind event where experts and participants get to showcase their aerial skills too. Also, there would be some awesome performances by Bollywood artists for the entertainment of the visitors. At this cultural event, one will also get to witness a different side of the Tehri region in Uttarakhand.
Tehri Dam in Tehri region is one of the largest hydroelectric projects in the world. Today, the ruins of old Tehri lie underwater while the New Tehri is all about modernization and latest technologies. Set at an altitude of 1750 m, Tehri is home to the gigantic Tehri Dam Reservoir, where a number of activities take place.
